How do I add Lighting/Other Effects to my JPG's imported from a Photoshop file?

Hi guys,

I am working on an animation project for someone. The scene is set with a stage and curtain ect. Within this animation are 2 Lamps, a Button to click to make the curtains open and more. When the main buttom is clicked I want the lamps to light up, and the whole stage area to get abit lighter to. Also the button to have a slight glint to it. Is this possible?

I would really appreciate some help with this.
