Hello,
I am using a ten minute track of audio and I want to make a music video out of it. I have several issues.
Firstly - I know how to place the audio as a layer (using properties) and this works fine. It's a bit painful to get the layer to be ten minutes long but it works out.II
My first problem is that I can only listen to the audio if it is triggered from the begginning of the sound file, and not anywhere in the middle. This is obviously painful for a ten minute project. How can I be expected to sync vocals to animations if I have to wait so long to test it out, ya know? Now, I am thinking that if I cut the song into ten 1:00 minute long clips, that would mitigate the problem, but that's not that great of a solution.
My second problem is that from my experience - after flash projects start getting big (even 2 minutes) they really start to lag, and even crash, my computer. I'm very worried I'll get halfway done the project and it completely messes up on me, making progress (or maybe even rendering) impossible. This is a worry, not an immediate problem. Definitely worried though. This too - I could mitigate by creating 2 or more project files for the video, but that doesn't really sound that ideal either.
My previous problems of lag and crash appeared to be from a large number of vector symbols - I tried to make a lot of little sketch marks instead of a few good symbols that I would tween. I guess you might call it .... creating every single frame, like traditional animation (Disney). I'm going to try and re-use symbols, like eyes for characters.\
I don't know if this matters but I want the video to be HD at some point (1920x1080) so I'm going to make the canvas that size. I hope that won't affect the computer negatively and create lag.
That's all for now!
