Dear Adobe,
Have a look at this BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) bug:
Here's my setup:
- Flash Professional CS6.
- Windows 7 (64-bit) on Mac Pro (bootcamped), running natively (not virtualized).
- 3 monitors (if that matters, 1 widescreen, two tilted sideways [tallscreens]).
- Suitcase Fusion 5, I did install recentely (a Font organizer), if that matters.
While working on ads for a client of mine, I was given a specific font to work with. Name of the font is "Oswald".
It does appear odd right-away when I try to type in the TextField (gets trimmed-off vertically about halfway, even on multiple lines as you can see in the above Vine post).
When I try to resize the font (it seems to provoke this bug especially when down-sizing the font), as soon as the text decreases by at least one line, boom-goes-the-dynamite!
I can conduct a few more tests on standalone documents (just the textfield with Oswald font applied), and resizing manually by typing-in the font-size instead of sliding by mouse. But since I value my machine for work purpose, I'd prefer not to put it through too many consecutive BSODs.
Here is the Oswald font (ZIP):

It may be something to do with OTF fonts in general, but this is the only one I'm aware of that causes this issue so far.
NOTE: I've even tried turning off the Suitcase Fusion 5 process (FMCore.exe) while using Flash CS6, and this crash still happens. So my guess is that SF5 doesn't have anything to do with it, but could be wrong.
EDIT:
I can confirm that this doesn't happen when the TextField's text is NOT selected, but the field is. Then I can resize the overall font-size manually by typing in the desired font-size.
