Hi guys,
I'm wondering why Adobe does not provide real 2d game tools in Flash CC ? I mean, they communicate about Flash as a good solution to develop games but most of the more powerfull tools and necessary tools to make 2D games with Flash are tiers tools or frameworks. For example there is Starling, Citrus Engine, Feather UI frameworks that are awesome, even Adobe encourage people to use them - But why Adobe does not provide/create that kind of framework and engines ? What about animation, especially character animations ? In 2D in order to have good performances is important to limit the amount of assets, so character Spritesheets with one image per frame are not a really good way to do, that why really good tools exist today and they are compatible or even based on Flash like DragonBones, Spine or GAF Converter. If those tools exist today it is because they are necessary, Adobe should provide a solution built-in in Flash.
I'm not asking to make Flash CC a 2D game Editor but it should provide tools that allow to create optimized assets and animations and a real GPU accelerated 2D framework for both game itslef and UI which is a very important and specific part of a game.
